Today I have my friend and fellow fitness expert Belinda Benn on the line (who I am honored to say got her start by using one of my books her guides!) and she will be sharing with us some wonderful fitness tips with us as well as a load of motivation that you can use to get the year started on the right direction!

Here’s her inspiring story…and by the way, unlike me, she did not start in her teens; she started in her forties! How often have I heard 27 year old’s say that they are too old to get started! This goes to show that you can start at any age and accomplish your goals if you put your mind to it!

The funny part of her story is that it was at 43 years of age that she received a random email from Flex Magazine and decided to enter their online bikini competition. In her words: “Not realizing it was more about sexy eye candy rather than fit physiques lol..I started training and eating like a bodybuilder. Of course I didn’t want to look like a bodybuilder, but that’s all I knew to do. And little did I know how building muscle would transform my body from the inside out and begin the journey to where I am today.”

Funny how everything happens for a reason.

Pay close attention to Belinda as she has some very good wisdom to share. Her advice applies to everyone alike (both ladies and guys as well!)

I want to thank Belinda for taking out some time from her extremely hectic schedule to share some valuable knowledge with all of us as well as her incredibly inspirational story! I hope that if you are that 30 or 40 year old who is listening to us and not sure if you get started today on a fitness program, you jump off that couch, grab a plan and start to implement it right away as the body of your dreams is just a few steps away!

  1. If 40 is too late, then I’m in trouble – I’ve just getting under way and I’m 52! I started in a similar way to Belinda (who is stunning btw), I’m an actor and I was asked to play a “James Bond” style role. Well, I can put on a tux and look pretty sharp but as for kicking and punching the bad guys, then running up and down stairs and speeding away in the flash car, that’s something else. I had 2 weeks to pick up speed, learn some boxing, karate, all the good stuff. The short film went over well and because of that my New Years Resolution is to “Look Good With My Shirt Off”. I’m building up my arms and chest and losing my ‘love handles’ inspired by my trainer (only once a week 🙁 I don’t earn a lot from acting, yet) and the constant source of good info from you guys – especially the diet.
    So to answer your earlier question – No! it not. Cheers guys, keep up the good work.
